About the Amoove21 project
Aims
1) Creating a sustainable network in which annually accredited learning mobility opportunities are offered to VET Agricultural students.
The Amoove21 project will specifically focus on agricultural education programmes on livestock/dairy, equine/horse- management and animal care. There are no international education opportunities for these programmes yet. In the project we will develop nine learning units of two weeks in which both theory and practice is offered in English to a mixed group of national and
Amoove21 partner students. The ultimate goal of the project is to make sure that the Elearning units are sustainable and will be used also after completion of the project. |
2) Increasing teachers’ international experience and professionalism.
The Amoove21 learning units will be developed by the teachers representing the partner organizations. The units are developed in accordance with ECVET standards and will be also disseminated on the eTwinning platform. During the project the teachers have had transnational meetings face-to-face, in smaller work groups and during teachers virtual meetings. To be able to develop and implement the units the teachers have also participated in workshops held by experts on topics such as eTwinning and ECVET.
|
The teachers working in Amoove21 have become more internationally competent and their professional orientation, knowledge and skills has grown. They have become competent in educating and sharing best practices in a foreign language and have gained a deeper understanding on the differences in providing agricultural education in foreign countries.
3) Increasing students’ accredited 21st century skills to become competitive in a growing international labour market.
Through virtual international orientation at home and by physically participating in the learning units offered abroad, youngsters have been able to develop digital, theoretical, practical, social and cultural skills which will enhance their chances to be competitive on an international labor market. They have gained experience in studying and working abroad and have been able to develop contacts that will last for a lifetime.
|
By enabling all students to take part in the virtual international orientation at their home institution, Amoove21 has also increased inclusiveness and sustainability when it comes for international skills development among agricultural students.

EXPECTED IMPACT
The desired impacts of the Amoove21 project on EU LEVEL are:
- Better employability of European agricultural VET students. The number of European students involved in international activities, through physical and virtual learning mobility projects such as the Amoove21 growed considerably. The students got a better understanding of other cultures within Europe;
- More professional European teachers;
- Higher quality of European agricultural VET education programmes. The quality of Europeanmobility experiences increased, as ECVET gave tools to create transparency in European educational programmes and mutual trust amongst the participating European educational college partners. “Education in an International Context” became a household word and a strategy for embedding internationalization in the VET curricula for which there is much interest in Europe as it creates better quality programmes and sustainability
- The understanding and cooperation between VET systems and companies in different European countries will increase
- European companies will become more open and willing to mobility requests.
- Better employability of national agricultural VET students. The project leads to an increased amount of national students that are involved in international activities. Citizens who are better skilled and have more experience in an international context are an asset to a country and its economy;
- More professional teachers. Teachers’ international skills and professionalism will improve;
- Higher quality and attractiveness of agricultural VET education programmes. The international activities in the agricultural education programmes increased the quality of the programmes and made them more attractive. As student numbers in agricultural education programmes have dropped dramatically in the last 10 years it is a great advantage for a country if the quality and attractiveness of this sector can be increased;
